Position Title
Part-Time Youth Leader
Position Summary
The Part-Time Youth Leader provides leadership, discipleship, and coordination for the church’s student ministry. This individual will work under the supervision of the Lead Pastor to develop and lead a Christ-centered ministry that helps students grow in their faith, build meaningful relationships, and become active participants in the life of the church.
This position is part-time and is expected to include preparation time, regular communication, weekly ministry activities, and participation in special events throughout the year.
Responsibilities
The Part-Time Youth Leader shall:

Plan and lead weekly youth gatherings, Bible studies, discipleship opportunities, and fellowship events.

Develop a welcoming and spiritually healthy environment for middle school and high school students.

Teach and communicate biblical truth in an engaging and faithful manner.

Build relationships with students and their families through regular communication and encouragement.

Coordinate youth events such as retreats, camps, mission opportunities, outreach activities, and fellowships.

Recruit, organize, and encourage adult volunteers who assist in youth ministry.

Work cooperatively with the Lead Pastor and church leadership to support the overall mission and ministry of the church.

Encourage students to participate in worship services and broader church life.

Maintain appropriate communication and safety practices in all youth ministry activities.

Assist with pastoral care needs involving students and families when appropriate.

The Part-Time Youth Leader should:

Demonstrate a clear and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

Be in agreement with the church’s beliefs, mission, and values.

Have a passion for discipling students and ministering to families.

Demonstrate spiritual maturity, dependability, and strong interpersonal skills.

Possess the ability to organize, communicate, and lead effectively.

Preferably have prior experience in youth ministry, teaching, or church leadership.
Accountability
The Part-Time Youth Leader shall serve under the direct supervision of the Lead Pastor and work in cooperation with church leadership and volunteers.
Schedule and Expectations
This is a part-time position with hours determined by ministry needs and church leadership expectations. Typical responsibilities will include weekly programming, preparation, meetings, communication, and special events throughout the year.
Compensation
Compensation for the Part-Time Youth Leader position shall be $800 per month, subject to the approved church budget and any applicable church policies regarding ministry expenses or reimbursements.
